About Bay and Beyond Sea Kayak Tours
Bay and Beyond Sea Kayak Tours is Eurobodalla’s original and most experienced ocean and flat water kayaking business, serving locals and visitors to the south coast of NSW, Australia, since 1999. Bay and Beyond is a highly accredited business offering sea kayaking tours, tuition, rentals and group kayak experiences to suit all ages and abilities. The 'Bay and Beyond Sea Kayak Tours' office is located at South Durras, just 10 minutes north of Batemans Bay, NSW, Australia. Owner/operators, Carolyn Morey and Philip MacDonnell, are both “Australian Canoeing” qualified sea kayak instructors/guides, hold degrees in Outdoor Education, and current first aid qualifications.
Sea kayaking is an increasingly popular outdoor adventure activity in Australia. Kayaking is a unique way to explore and appreciate the marine environment under the power of your own paddle. Sea kayaking is also great fun! As locals to the south coast, the "Bay and Beyond Sea Kayak Tours" team have a great knowledge of the flora, fauna and marine wildlife of the Batemans Marine Park. They will take you to some special places where you are sure to have a unique coastal experience!
Our Sea Kayaks
The gear we provide is in excellent condition and is upgraded regularly. Our kayaking fleet consists of double and single plastic sea kayaks. We use "Current Designs" singles: "Storm" and "Squall", and double: "Crosswind". We also use "Dagger" doubles called "Trinidad". These kayaks we have chosen for our fleet are long and stable watercraft, with a comfortable seat, a foot rudder to make steering easier, and water tight hatches for storage. These boats are suitable for both ocean and flat water environments. Spray skirts are worn over the cockpit to stop drips and splash. Australian Standards approved life jackets are mandatory for all clients, and we have sizes to fit everyone. All safety equipment is provided, as is a full safety brief for all tours, programs, rentals and tuition.
What to Bring Along For a Kayaking Tour, Tuition or Rental
We recommend clients bring along a water bottle, hat and sunscreen, shoes that can get wet, swimming togs and towel and a warm layer appropriate for the weather. For tours we provide the refreshments, for rentals, byo snacks. For tuition you can bring your own boat (and kayaking equipment) or use one of ours.
Also, don't forget a sense of adventure!
